This afternoon we were privileged to have Mrs Sloane (Jayda's grandmother) demonstrate weaving and work with us to make poi. This is a wonderful way to celebrate the completion of our Matariki studies. Mrs Sloane has left the woven mat and flowers from harakeke (flax) which will be displayed in the library. We hope you enjoy the photos of our very busy afternoon.

Wow - it really was a very chilly start to the week. It is great to see so many of you arriving at school wrapped up in coats, scarves, hats, polar fleece jumpers.
Here are some pictures of us working at spelling activities and finishing off our winter writing reflections.
Have a great evening and keep warm!

We were working on the final stages of our writing inquiry about winter topics today. After checking the draft copies of our work we recorded ourselves reading on the iPads. We did this so that we could check if the information sounded correct before we made the final copies of the booklets/pamphlets.
Here we are once again - WORKING TOGETHER.
